Caitlyn is the BEST! She has been tutoring my son for the last 4 years during summer breaks and her own breaks from college. He is a middle school student with severe ADHD. The first summer was we hired her to work with him on summer reading and writing assignments. She was a perfect fit because she would read with him and talk him through the material to complete the reviews of his books. He is a very literal thinker (black and white, no grey area) and struggles with the small details of reading. Cait is his total opposite creative and colorful thinker. They would spend hours each week reading and he would never complain about tutoring. We continued to hire her each summer for the last 4 years until she moved away after graduating college. As the years progressed she began doing more with him than just summer reading . They would meet to study for his school exams, tutoring homework that he was working on for school and continued working on his reading assignments. They would choose books together that interested them both. We still keep in contact and she is a part of his circle of people. She was the perfect fit for a kid who doesn’t love school and struggles with focus. Their tutoring meets evolved over years from a 10yr old kid who needed a buddy to read with him to now a teenager that towers over her and considers her a friend.
