I have 3 years experience doing ABA therapy with ages 2-17 diagnosed with ASD in both school and in-home environments. In-home tasks were usually very focused on daily living skills. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and I have just begun a master's program in Occupational Therapy at Sacred Heart University. Despite only having experience with autism, I would feel comfortable working with anyone with special needs. I am first aid/CPR certified through American Red Cross as well as BLS (Basic Life Support, for Healthcare Providers) certified through AHA. I am in an OT program because I am very passionate about helping others in any situation, including disabilities, reach their goals to be as independent as possible.
