About Caitlin

I've been in childcare since around 2005, from daycares to casual babysitting to being a live-in nanny/au pair. I've always loved kids; it's very easy for me to get on their level and enjoy the games/activities they do. I've worked for screen-happy families where I could chat videogames with their 8-year-old for hours and help build out their ideas in-game. I've lived with totally unplugged families where we did scavenger hunts and Montessori-style learning play. I did take a year of coursework in Early Childhood Development but I left school to travel and work as an au pair. I also have experience with neurodivergent kids and their needs. Some things just about me are that I've been to over 100 countries, lived in 6; I can speak Spanish but I also have a love of language in general. I know about 8 billion useless facts (so I have lots of answers for incessantly curious little questioners!) I also love to cook and swim (used to be water babies certified) and I have a small hobby farm.
