About Cailan

Hello! I've been caring for seniors and every age in between off and on for most of my life. My first senior friend I helped with was after college. Due to a disability, he was unable to have fine motor function of his hands and arms. I'm experienced in helping with daily tasks, while trying to help an individual maintain a sense of autonomy. I do have my CNA in IL, however it is expired (due to taking a different path in life) so although unable to work under such a title, I am familiar with home/personal care. I am very familiar with caring for an individual who was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (brain tumor) and have always had a lot of patience, but even more so after this experience. I am not extremely familiar with dealing with dementia, but fully understand the need for a respite for those families providing full time care to their loved ones who are dealing with mental changes.
