About Buffi

I am Buffi. I have worked as a teacher/tutor/sitter/nanny for over 30 years. I have taught school in many venues including traditional (public and private), Montessori, Classical, and homeschool. I am willing to tutor or build a curriculum and homeschool your elementary student(s). I homeschooled 3 students in various grades this past year, and want to do the same in my new home of Florida. Because of my own special needs son, I have learned to be creative and adapt to different learning styles and abilities. A test is not the only way to assess knowledge and fluency. I believe in using many different approaches and resources when I teach. I love to use manipulatives, music, and technology to enhance my teaching. Admittedly, I am not your traditional teacher with my Converse and colorful wardrobe. I encourage imagination and curiosity. I have been fully vaccinated and am ready to partner with you to help your student(s) succeed.
