About Brynn

I am currently an exceptional children's resource teacher (special education) and serve children from grades kindergarten thru fifth. This is my eighteenth year of teaching. I recently was the recipient for the Educator of Excellence award for Exceptional Children in North Carolina State. I taught kindergarten for 3 years prior to switching my position as an EC resource teacher. I have my teaching license in elementary education K-5, special education - cross categorical K-12, and reading specialist K-12. I have experience and training in several direct instruction programs. I also have experience in creating and implementing individualized behavior plans. I am a strong advocate for my students by creating individualized education plans (IEPs) that are created by formal and informal assessments, observations, and collaboration with parents and service providers. Teaching is my passion! To me, there is nothing more rewarding than having a positive impact on a child's life.
