I was a Registered Behavior Technician for a year before deciding to work locally as special education paraprofessional in my son's school district. Working with patients with autism, I played a crucial role in supporting and implementing clients' treatment plans and behavior intervention plans. My goal was to provide interventions that encouraged socially acceptable replacement behaviors, helping clients to enhance their communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. More than anything, I want all individuals to feel included, cared for, and self-sufficient as much as possible.
