I started caring for people with special needs about 10 years ago when volunteering for a summer camp for people with autism. I worked there for 6 weeks every summer, working with a wide age range, for a total of eight years. I then began to do full time care taking work for a child with autism, who I connected with through the mentioned camp. I am still doing intermittent work, and am currently getting my degree in special education at James Madison University. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy being active and especially spending time outdoors such as hiking and going to the beach. One thing you should know about me is I am a very reliable and trustworthy employee. I have extensive experience working with children ( mostly neurodivergent but also with neurotypical children), which is something I have always been very passionate about.
