About Brooke

I am a PhD student looking to work part time with children over the summer months! Prior to grad school, I was in early childhood education for several years. I worked as both a babysitter and nanny for infants to age 10, a preschool teacher, and the director of a private preschool. I have a BA/MA in Sociology and a BA minor in Child Development. I absolutely love working with children. It is a meditation for me. I am particularly excited about working with infants and the preschool ages (3-5). I enjoy using everyday experiences as teachable moments and just "being" together with a child as they explore the world. My research examines digital technologies and culture. I do not have social media and you will not find me constantly on my phone. I aim to give children well-rounded experiences, so I make it a point to limit screen time. I am a certified yoga teacher / lifelong yoga practitioner and prioritize presence. I look forward to meeting you and your little one(s) very soon!
