About Brook

Hi, I'm Brook! I am currently a second year masters student studying Speech Pathology at San Diego State University. I have extensive experience and training working with children, specifically in reading and writing skills. I am familiar with the education system and IEP/504 plans. I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic and warm-hearted! I like tutoring because I love helping children grow their knowledge. I am extremely passionate about working with children and love to watch them succeed. I do not have formal experience tutoring, however I do have experience working with children in the classroom setting and helping children with schoolwork during previous nannying experiences. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time outdoors, and paint! My skills include literacy, writing, and social studies. Extensive experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
