I knew that my calling was to work with special needs when I was young. I have an uncle who has brain damage and I would love working with him, and being with him. I would bring home my school work for him to work on with me. As I grew older I knew that the passion was still there. I was a peer tutor in high school where I would work in a classroom with students who had multiple disabilities. I also babysat one of the students outside of school. I have worked in a special needs preschool for a year with a student who had autism and my major in college is psychology with a focus in autism.
