I have been working with special needs for 7 years now. I recently got accepted into UT for this upcoming fall semester, so, as of right now, I am a nanny for 3 kids (one of which has mitochondrial disease). They're 3, 6, and 8. I am very familiar with G-Tubes, non-verbal communication, leg braces, and behavioral redirection. Some of my other experiences over the years have been working with high school children who have disabilities through Best Buddies, being a camp counselor with Camp Blessing, an equine therapy assistant, and I have also had an internship with my church for the past 2 years working with the Special Needs Ministry. It is my absolute passion to work with any and all children with or without these amazing abilities. I can easily handle chaos as I know it goes hand and hand with these sweet rugrats.
