I am currently a teacher of the Deaf, working with students with a range of hearing loss in grades 4 and 5. I also tutor elementary aged students with autism and work on goals requested by parents. In the fall I will be switching gears to work with students with intellectual disabilities, including autism and Down syndrome. I've worked with a range of disabilities and ages over the years, from age 3 to elderly; and from mild disabilities to those more significant. I believe it is important to get to know the person as an individual, and collaborate with them when with them by doing things they enjoy. I am a graduate of Coastal Carolina University, I received a Bachelors of Arts in special education; class of 2013. I also have my masters in education of the deaf from Vanderbilt University, class of 2019.
