Fortunately, I have been able to work with people with disabilities for over 15 years. My family runs a Special Olympics in Fullerton, CA, which I have been attending since I was born! In high school, I began volunteering at a summer camp for both children and adults with disabilities called RAD Camp in Irvine, CA. At camp, volunteers take on a caregiver position to provide respite for families who take care of their loved ones on a daily basis. I am comfortable and confident with any and all situations-- and I can guarantee that I'll be not only a care-taker, but a friend and positive mentor. This year, I celebrated my 10 year anniversary at RAD Camp! I My exposure to this amazing community has driven me to pursue a career that allows me to help families, friends, and community members by providing care to their loved ones!
