About Brianna

Hello! My name is Brianna White-Ortiz (she/her), I prefer Bri. I'm a Bowdoin grad, artist, and nanny living in the Portland area. I am looking for a family to work with 3 days per week (24-30 hrs) starting September 1! My philosophy in my work is to provide the children I care for with a confident and respectful adult to look to for support, share their feelings with, feel safe with, and to have fun with. I practice honesty, gentleness, and discipline without shame with the children I work with. My role is to encourage them in their interests as much as possible, but in a safe way! I prioritize outside time, reading, body comfort, dance, practicing Spanish and ASL signs, nature exploration, art, and observing bugs and animals. I am Infant and Adult First Aid/CPR certified, have a clean driving record and vehicle of my own, and am vaccinated and boosted for the COVID-19 virus.
