My name is Brian, and I'm a Special Education and Elementary Education Teacher (Dual Licensure) Candidate. I'm passionate about helping those challenged by adversity, especially children. I've spent the last year working as a Skills Trainer at Oak Grove Academy (day therapeutic treatment school) and the prior year working in a Social Emotional Learning Center at an elementary school in Hillsboro. I'm exceptionally patient with students and highly enthusiastic about assisting students to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals to be academically successful. I thoroughly enjoy teaching kids regardless of the subject (e. g., English, math, science, social studies and humanities, writing). I've spent a great deal of time tutoring students and my own children with reading, writing, and math, and have found no student is exactly the same, but there are some great methods that usually help most students.
