About Brett

Hi, my name's Brett! I'm a graduate of Westminster University (formerly Westminster College, SLC, Utah) with a degree in English Creative Writing. I love working with kids, playing with them, encouraging their creativity, and sharing in the things that make them happy! My babysitting approach is built upon empathy, compassion, and responsibility between children, parents, and babysitters. I've been working with children for 6 years in a variety of roles. I'm currently a tutor employed by Seattle Public Schools, and I've previously worked as an after-school program supervisor, behavioral interventionist, assistant teacher, recess aide, and camp counselor. I believe that communication and empathy are essential tools for working with children. When children are treated with respect and held accountable for their actions, it teaches them to be responsible, independent, and have a strong sense of self-worth. I am First Aid & CPR certified and can provide proof thereof.
