About Brenda

I am a senior caregiver who has been caring for an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's for the past 3 years, at first in his home, and then when he transferred to a nursing home. I am seeking additional opportunities to work with families and assist them in the care of their loved ones. I also had spent many hours volunteering at a local nursing home for about 2 years and it helped me find my passion. I truly loved working with the residents. We chat, read, played games, and reminisced. I also assisted staff taking residents on outings. I've also done volunteer work with an assisted living facility doing activities with residents who have dementia, including leading them in exercise classes. I also have experience as a family caregiver, caring for my own grandmother for the past several years. Our older generation deserves our time, attention, and love. I grew up and was raised by an older generation of family. This is more than a job to me, this is my passion.
