I currently am ending an almost 2 year employment caring for a 100-year-old WWII Veteran. 37 hours a week, plus occasional subbing as a Caregiver in in home elder care. I have worked with adults with Parkinson disease as well as other chronic illnesses. I do things like driving to help shop. Walk dogs. Drive to appointments. Light housework, like laundry and dishwashing, bed making. Remind and give meds. Prepare simple meals. Companion for walks etc. I have also done overnights with seniors in hospice care. I have worked with men and women with slight to severe dementia with patience and understanding and kindness. I m capable, dependable and caring. I have 6 children of my own the youngest is in her teens. I m a visual artist. I enjoy dance classes and nature walks. I homeschooled my children for many years. I really love elder care and chronic illness care - it is fulfilling to help people remain as independent as they can be for as long as they can.

Brenda has been amazing as my dad's caregiver! She's made a real difference in his life and allowed me to continue working while having dad at home with me. Her caring and dedicated approach has been top-notch. From giving him meds to helping with weekly showers and feeding him daily. And their conversations and checkers games are a highlight for him! She's been on top of it all, taking dad to doctor's appointments, haircuts, and even fun trips to the mall. Plus, she's always thinking of him, even grabbing him breakfast from McDonald's! Brenda suggested Meals-on-Wheels for us, and she found a VOIP phone transcriber system that's been a game-changer. It's made it so much easier for dad to talk to others despite his hearing loss. I can't express enough gratitude for Brenda's trustworthiness. She's been there for us every single day, even for those twelve-hour shifts and overnight stays. Without a doubt, any family would be lucky to have Brenda as their caregiver!
