About Brandina

I am a passionate educator with 20 years of experience teaching in various settings including inner-city, suburban, and rural areas; various subjects including Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, English as a Second Language, Humanities, Technical Writing, and Career Exploration. I have taught in various learning constructs including general education, special education, bilingual, ESL, and collaborative team teaching (CTT). I have studied and practiced various pedagogical platforms including AUSSIE Making a Difference, Scholastic's Read 180, Middle Years Programmed International Baccalaureate (MYP IB), magnet programs, Leadership program, Balanced Literacy, writing program, Buck Institute's Project-Based Learning (PBL). I have served as a New York City Department of Education state exam grader, an English Department Chair, and a magnet team lead. My specialty is working with students who who are gifted/talented and ADHD/ADD.
