I have been a CNA for over 16 years. I took care of my grandmother starting at the age of 2 years old since she lived with us. I cared for my Dad when he was diagnosed with Mesothelioma cancer till he passed. I moved home to care for my Mom with all ADL's for 4 years. She had Type II Diabetes, hypertension, special diet, and medications, provided wound care, till she had a stroke and passed. I worked with my private client for 6 years until she needed 24/7 care. I work well with people and have knowledge from working 7 years in a hospital and recovery room. Worked with clients who have cerebral palsy and Spina Bifida, used Hoyer lift for transfers, Foley, and colostomy care. I learn from my older peers and being able to make their day brighter by helping them accomplish tasks they may need assistance with.
