I'd describe my personality as empathetic, caring, compassionate. I like caring for seniors because every senior is due dignity and respect and the right to be able to live with a quality care they deserve. What ever limitations or cognitive difficulties their humanity should be honored. Seniors have a wealth and knowledge that I value. I'm looking for a job that would include light housekeeping, light meal prep, laundry and companionship. Pets are always appreciated as part of the family. I started caring for seniors when I was working as a caregiver and companion for a home health/hospice in 2010. In my spare time, I like to read, write, garden, cook and walk. One thing you should know about me is that I take the family into consideration not just the one I am helping. The family knows what it needed for their loved one and I respect their decisions and needs. My skills include companionship, being aware of their surroundings and becoming in tune of their needs.
