About Blanca

I'd describe my personality as warm, caring and joyful. I like tutoring because it gives me joy when a student experiences an "ah-ha" moment after struggling with a particular concept. I'm looking for a job that is challenging and flexible. I started tutoring when I was 18 years old, during my freshman year of college at UCLA. In my spare time, I like to read, exercise and bake cakes. One thing you should know about me is that my goal with every student I tutor is to empower them in their academic journeys and to help them build up their confidence in topics they're not the strongest in. Apart from babysitting and one-on-one tutoring, I am also an elementary school and kindergarten substitute teacher. My skills include gauging a student's individual learning needs and then accommodating them, making a student feel empowered instead of judged for their progress, and creating fun and exciting ways to learn.
