About Blair

I am certified through the state of Oklahoma to teach elementary grades 2-6. I have had many tutoring experiences in the past, all of which were positive. I love elementary math, reading, social studies, and English. During college, I worked at a day-school, where I was able to help students with their homework after school. I loved this, because I could see them start to understand, because of my help. My style of teaching is different than most. In math, I prefer to use hands-on manipulatives so that students can actually see the math. I also like to use graphic organizers in reading. I love using games to teach all subjects, especially phonics. I feel like I have always been called to be a tutor, because I am more confident working with a student in a one on one position.
