Secretly... I'm deaf! stop your horses, did you read this, right? yes, you did! I was born hearing and had progressive hearing loss. I can still speak, and I currently use a cochlear implant. I've been signing since I was 1-year-old. I've gone to various deaf camps and worked at various camps. I met various of different people. west, east... central sign language some are similar and slightly different signs in their own way, yet I still can communicate fluently with various people in American Sign Language all over the USA. I used to teach asl as a deaf mentor and as a tutor as a side job.
