About Birgit

I'd describe myself as outgoing, joyful, and compassionate. Growing up in Germany I had 5 siblings I helped care for and was a teacher for 35+ years as an adult. I truly enjoy caring for others and find it fulfilling. I like caring for seniors because they too need support, companionship, and care. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help a senior by providing help around the house & socialization. I would love to spend 3-4 days/week with a senior in need so I still have time with my own family. In my spare time, I like to make memories with my 2 granddaughters, 2 grandDOGS, and 2 daughters. I love to go for hikes and walks, I crochet and attend yoga classes. One thing you should know about me is I worked for the US Army as a teacher for 25 years on Fort Monmouth, NJ and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. My skills include providing social interaction and companionship, properly administering medication, some housekeeping, meal preparation and running errands / food shopping.
