About Beverly

I have loved working with kids for as long as I can remember. I have worked closely with K-5th grade. I recently graduated from Hunter College with a bachelors degree in Childhood Education and English Literature. I will be pursuing my masters at Hunter College in literacy for birth- 6th grade beginning in February. I'd describe my personality as patient, caring, and responsible. I like working with kids because I am passionate about this field and believe this is what I'm meant to do. I'm looking for a job that is flexible given my school/ work schedule. Within the DOE I have worked in a 6th and 1st grade class. I did my student teaching in a second grade class. I worked in an afterschool from 2019 to 2023. In my spare time, I like to paint and work with air-dry clay. I believe learning how to communicate effectively is essential at a young age so I try my best to incorporate SEL when working with children. My skills include leadership, problem-solving, and empathy.
