Though I'm an education major, caring for the elderly is another one of my passions. I've always enjoyed spending time with the elderly- I find their humor amusing, and enjoy their wisdom. My grandfather had Alzheimer's, and it was while caring for him that I realized how much I enjoyed senior care! I have a huge heart, am very patient, and love helping others. I've been caring for the elderly for 5 years now. I'm an STNA (state tested nursing assistant) and am capable of assisting with basic ADL's, as well as more extensive needs such as diapering/toileting, bathing, medication reminders/administration and transfers (under 200lbs.) I'm easy to understand, and am quick to alter the environment to make it easier on the individuals in my care. I'm passionate, and truly believe I've found my "niche" working with people (both young and old).
