I started taking care of seniors when I was 11 years old. When I was 18, I stayed with an elderly man. My normal duties included cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and occasionally taking him places if he wished to go, Later, when my parents were elderly, I was a caregiver to them approximately 15 years. Families should know that I am a genuine, devoted, trustworthy, empathetic, good listener, and a very attentive person.. I have always felt that animals or pets are family, I can manage that also. I can relate to seniors as I was a live in caregiver to my parents for the last several years of their lives. My parents wanted to be at home until the end,, I was honored to be in a position where I could be with them and make sure they could live out their lives in the place they called home. I have had a course in elder care. I also have a certificate from a massage therapy school but do not have my license yet. I feel that I'm qualified as a caregiver.
