I've been taking care of elderly for 40 plus years. I really enjoy every minute of it. They have so much to teach us if only we take the time to listen. I'm very tentative to their every need. I have a 97-year-old father. I love him dearly. I've recorded a lot of his stories. God has blessed me with a long life with my father. I have worked with feeding tubes, catheters, different ways of needing to make their foods. Range of motion etc. Patience for the elderly is one thing I have a lot of. Sometimes they just can't sleep or they may have agitated moments during the day. I ask questions to try to figure out what is wrong. 9 chances out of 10 I figure it out. I can spend days, nights, and over nights there.
