About Betsy

I am passionate about providing caring and nurturing spaces in all areas of my life; creating that for children is very important because children carry the future. I believe each child deserves gentle and authentic love. I use a Montessori inspired approach to childcare, allowing each kid to grow and learn at their own, unique pace. I grew up in a very large family - I am the fourth of eight children - and I know that this has created in me a special love for kids. I have always had a strong nurturing instinct and have greatly enjoyed putting this into action with the families I have worked for in the past. I am working towards my certification as a postpartum doula and am skilled in newborn/infant care as well as toddler age care. A few personal things about me that play into my personality- I majored in English in college and I love to both read and write! I love to bake, I love coffee, and I love decorating and creating aesthetically pleasing and cozy spaces.
