About Bethel

Hello! My name is Bethel and I have a bachelors degree in Social Work which I received in 2019. I am currently working on attaining a special education teaching license and work at a therapeutic day school with children ages 8-14. I've been living in Chicago for over a year now, but I am originally from St. Louis, MO. Before my time in Chicago I spent a few years in Seattle where I worked at an elementary school and also nannied children ages 15 months- 6 years old. I have a lot of experience working with children of all backgrounds and different mental, physical, and emotional needs. I've learned that through it all kids are kids and every moment is a teachable one. I value fostering kids independence, creativity, and confidence. I think learning through play and leading by example is a wonderful way to nurture these skills. My schedule is open during school breaks as well. My personal interest include: music, spending time with friends, nature, working out, and traveling.
