I have four grown children and five grandchildren. I have provided child care to approx. 50 children other than my own through the years. I have volunteered in school classroom settings and in a preschool in my hometown of Honeoye, NY. I did an internship in a daycare at Finger Lakes Community College, to enhance my studies about early intervention. I have parent advocacy training for children with special needs in the public school system. I also did an internship at Hillside Detention Center, working with the special needs of troubled teens. I was licensed to provide foster care in Ontario County for about 6 years. I have recently retired from an administrative position and I am seeking to fill my time in a meaningful way. I love kids and consider caring for children to be one of my greatest strengths and something that has brought joy and satisfaction. I feel that I could contribute to a child's upbringing in a positive and meaningful way.

Beth will be starting as our part-time in home nanny on Monday and we are all happy about her addition to our family team. She was perfectly on time for our interview, came prepared with her certifications and references. We chatted for 1.5 hours without even realizing it. As a mother and grandmother she seems well prepared for anything my two children can throw at her. We are hopeful that this will be a great match for both sides, and looking forward to her starting work.
