When I was 15 I helped care for my grandmother who raised me during her multiple year battle with cancer. After her passing I decided I wished to pursue the medical field and help others, I as well helped my stepmother during her final months while I was becoming a CNA. I worked at a nursing home for 18 months and gained experience there, I had to leave my job there due to my biological mother being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. I had to become a full time live-in provider for her from her ongoing issues with medication until we were able to get her back onto the road of recovery.
