My passion for special needs care began when I was in elementary school. My mom was a special needs teacher, so I helped out in the classroom frequently. As I got older, I thought more and more about pursuing this as a career. I currently take care of a special needs boy, however due to a change of location I am searching for a family to help out in the metro-Atlanta area. Some of the responsibilities with my current family include: Feeding assist, ambulation assist, diaper changes, bathing, positively intervening during self inflicting behavior outbursts, keeping record of child's behavior and progress while providing updates to parents, administering medicine. I have also been trained in first aid and am CPR certified. And I have copies of my criminal background check and motor vehicle record from previous jobs!

She accepted the job, came to do a trial and then one hour before she was supposed to work she texted me that she had accepted a full time job. This happens frequently with people in the part time section, they take the position only until something permanent comes along.
