Bernadette showed up on time for the interview. Presented herself very well and was very pleasant. She has the skill set to be an excellent nurse and at the time of her interview her license was in good standing with the state of Illinois. She explained she worked at a local hospital and could work part time with us. However, she was less than forthcoming with her physical condition when we interviewed her in June of 2019. She hid her pregnancy from us at the interview. When she showed up to train a week later, she did not hide it. After her 3rd shift she left because she could not physically do the job. This was a big disappointment to our family. I also found during this time that she didn't follow our direction and cut corners on our loved one's care, thinking I wouldn't know the difference or that we weren't paying attention. We wish Bernadette all the best but urge her to be upfront and honest with families and potential employers in the future.
