I have 2+ years of hands-on experience with my 83-year-old Mom, wheelchair bound, with dementia (stage 3/4). I can help with Personal Care and Respite Care. I have extensive experience with managing medication (multiple times a day), use of some equipment for those who cannot walk, and keeping to much needed regular bathing/eating/napping/Dr. Appt schedules. I'm 49 years old and believe in honoring your loved one like a son would honor a parent. I'm a classically trained pianist, love music from the 20s-50s, classical music, and hymns/praise/Christian positive/uplifting music. I do not smoke and have never used drugs or abused alcohol. I am accustomed to sun-downing, keeping seniors active, participating in daily activities, and being able to express their preferences (where safe to do so). I cannot lift or do heavy housework and will only remain in an environment that is CLEAN. If you're looking for common sense Care, a kind approach, and someone who will engage, I'm your man.
