About Barrie

Hello there! My name is Barrie and I'm a full time nanny! I got my start in childcare rather by accident; A coworker of mine has a son who, shortly after the Covid lockdown in 2020, was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor on the inside of his lip. Being nervous parents with the state of the world, they asked if I would be able to provide childcare for their son. I was with them and their son for a year and a half until he was deemed cancer free (yay!) and his grandmother eventually took over his day to day care. I then moved to working in a K-8 charter school, as a Special Education Paraprofessional where I've been for the last three years. My partner and I recently relocated to the Chicago area and I'm on the search for an amazing family that I can offer my services to.
