About Barbra
Experience: 10 yrs
Although my experience has grown over the years, it began with being the primary caregiver for several elderly and ill family members. Their ages ranged from 50's into their 90's. More recently, I've been privileged to provide caregiving services to a few local families. The majority of these folks have had some form of Dementia but some have also had Diabetes, Parkinson's, Kidney Disease, mobility issues, coordination and cognitive issues. Services that I've provided include: transportation to doctor appointments and grocery stores, exercise and physical activity, bathing, toileting, dressing, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, laundry, organizing, help with electronics, assistance with their pets, providing companionship, reading, playing board/card games with tenderness, kindness and compassion.

Barbra has been my Dad, Leo's caregiver for almost 2 years now. She is very professional, reliable, compassionate, conscientious, knowledgeable and attentive to his needs. Barbra has been a great asset in aiding us with monitoring and controlling his diabetes. She is always so patient with Leo and has shown what a kind and empathic heart she has when handling his Alzheimer's Disease. It's a relief to finally have a caregiver that I can trust with my Dad, my pets and my home. I know I can leave them in her care and be confident that she will care for them just the same way that she would her own family, pets and home. And, as if the above things were not enough, her energy level and work ethic are highly commendable. When she leaves, after spending the day with Leo, I come home to find that she has cleaned things that I never knew needed cleaning. Oftentimes, I find a delicious dinner waiting for us to sit down and enjoy when I arrive home after a long day (I especially like her grilled steak). She clearly has a passion for what she does. I feel blessed to have her in our home and be able to be on the receiving end of what she brings to caregiving. I can't say enough great things about Barbra. As time goes by, she comes to feel more like family than anything else. It's been an amazing experience and we're so grateful for her.
