I have also took a class on child development to try to better understand children's behavior and improve my work as a child care provider as well. I have worked with kids ranging from 6 months to 9 years old. I can speak Spanish, French and Portuguese because I was born in Brazil and because I go to college in Belgium.

Barbara nannied for our daughter for ~2 months. Before she began working for us, she agreed to provide one-month notice if she was going to quit. The first time we gave her performance-related feedback, she quit on a Sunday night without warning. In a text, she claimed that we "mistreated" her and used her as a "house cleaner". This was after we paid for her train ticket to NYC (meals and lodging included) to get her green card renewed. We also paid for her to take a course in CPR/child safety. Before Barbara started with us, we discussed and agreed upon certain responsibilities, such as feeding, baby laundry, cleaning bottles, etc. However, we would often come home to dirty bibs, unfolded laundry, food on the floor, and the need to rewash bottles. We found Barbara Face Timing and reading at her leisure while our active daughter (who just began crawling) was awake, rather than doing these things while our daughter was napping (for three hours every day).
