I've always had animals in my house, dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, reptiles, and fish ever since I was a young child. I love animals of every kind and endeavor to take the best possible care of them in every situation. My current animal companion is a 12-year-old Australian shepherd mix dog named Cody. She goes for regular daily walks, eats the proper nutrition (including supplements for aging dogs), and is still very youthful and energetic in her senior years due to the good quality of care I have given her over her lifetime. Cody has had to go to her vet for unexpected medical reasons over the years, a broken/abscessed tooth which lead to anesthesia and dental surgery. She also has arthritis in her right shoulder which she's been dealing with since she was 6 years old as well as hip dysplasia. She currently takes glucosamine/chondrotin supplements for some relief. Back in October, she had to undergo another surgery for a sarcoma tumor which had developed and grown quickly into a mass on her right flank. She healed and recovered quickly because of my loving attention and care. I've always been there to tend to her needs, administer medications, and be an overall good pet "parent" as I am with my own two human children :)
