Hi folks of Care. com! I'm a 36-year-old woman who just finished my 12th year of teaching. I started teaching middle school English in West Philly, moved back to CA to teach art to TK-8th for a few years, before entering grad school & moving jobs to teach 4th and 5th grade at a private school in an LA suburb. Prior to starting my career I've babysat kids of all ages since I was 15 years old, and even in recent years have picked up kids I care for from school & driven them to all sorts of extra curricular activities like soccer & taekwondo. I'm happy to prepare simple meals for children & assist with homework after they get home from school. In terms of tutoring my strength is elementary and middle school content & I'm happy to help and guide with school projects, as well as coach students on test preparation (again for elementary & middle school students).
