I'd describe my personality as respectful, caring, patient and loving person. I like caring for seniors and I believe in taking care of elders how I take care of my parents. I'm looking for a job that offers a respectful and communicative relationship. I started caring for seniors when I was in my early twenties. I continued working as a private caregiver for the next 20 years, while I continued my education in other areas as well. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, staying active, reading books, and expanding my education in anything that I find interest in. I am a compassionate person, mother and daughter. I am a family oriented person and I love what I do for work. I have 20 year experience and have work with Dementia, Alzheimer patients, also stroke, cancer (and different health condition patients). I am fluent in both English and Spanish.

When my 84-year-old father needed extra support for activities of daily living, eating healthy, completing exercises and taking medications, we were lucky enough to find Barbara. She not only has the strength and technical skills to do the job, but loads of empathy and kindness to go with it. When therapists and other caregivers arrived while Barbara was there, she actively listened, both learning and advocating for my dad. When 911 was called, Barbara followed the ambulance to the hospital and waited in the emergency room, supporting my mom and sending text updates to my sister and I until my sister arrived. Barbara's actions went above and beyond our expectations as events we couldn't have prepared for unfolded. We are forever grateful and cannot recommend Barbara enough. Her availability during school hours worked great for us. Dad was up having morning coffee when she arrived, and she got a lot accomplished during the few hours she was there.
