About Barbara

Hi! My name is Barb and I am a rising junior in the four-year nursing program at the University of Pittsburgh, working to get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. I have a total of 240 clinical hours, half of which were in person at the local Pittsburgh hospitals, and the other half was a combination of virtual clinical and simulation labs (due to the pandemic). The last unit I worked on this past semester was a surgical-oncology unit at Magee Woman's Hospital, where I developed a wide variety of nursing skills that make me confident to provide competent care for a senior in need. I promise to be a reliable, compassionate, and attentive caregiver for your loved one. I can be flexible with days and times. With this experience, I am willing to help with Home Care (bathing, meals, medication management, cleaning, daily activities, companionship, etc.) for people of all ages and capabilities while I am home this summer. I am also fully vaccinated and CPR/first aid certified :)
