About Barbara

I was 13 when I took on my 1st summer job caring for three children ages 3, 5 & 7. This job continued every summer until I graduated HS. I even cared for their children later on. After HS I worked at various daycare centers. From 1981-1998 I founded, managed & operated In Home Daycare. This was an in-home based environment for children ranging from newborn to 10 years of age. I created projects, organized holiday parties, taught basic reading & writing skills, prepared meals & took the children on outings with parents permission. From 1998-2000 I was the Head Supervisor of an Infant Room at the Somerset Valley YMCA. I supervised internal daycare center for employees, members & the public. Fed, changed, nurtured & taught infants up to 1 year of age. Trained younger & new staff in proper care & handling of infants. I am honest, loving, patient & give 100%. I have an adult son, a 10-year-old granddaughter, and a 20-month-old granddaughter. experience caring for children & senior
