UPDATE: I am available to help your child (grades K-3rd) with their homework or if they need extra help in reading and writing. I have been taking care of children of all ages for over 46 years. I have also played a strong role in helping to raise my 5 nieces and nephews. I have always enjoyed working with children. I have substitute taught for Arlington County public school system as well as for Huntington Learning Center and have been a private tutor for an English-as-a-second-language family. I was raised in a loving, Christian environment in which family was very important. I contribute my love of working with children to my mother as a role model. Recently, I have assisted in eldercare. It means a lot to me to be able to help others and make a difference in their lives. Other interests of mine include arts and crafts (I make jewelry), travel, visiting museums and historical sites, cooking and, of course, shopping!

Barb loves kids and is very sweet and patient. She drove my 2.5yo home from school, gave him snacks, and played with him until I finished my workday. She is very communicative and trustworthy. My son was always happy with her and transitioned well at the end of the day. Highly recommend her!
