Hello! My name is Barbara, I spent 12 years running a pool as the Aquatics Director. My passion was teaching students with special needs. When I was furloughed due to Covid, I began to nanny and tutor my nephews, which I loved! I missed working with my special needs clients, however, and made a career change to PCA, caregiver and Paraprofessional (para) jobs. I am currently working as a para to a 9-year-old , and a 9-year-old with dyslexia, dysgraphia and anxiety, and a nanny to a 11-year-old boy with autism. Most of my experience is with autism, downs syndrome, diabetes, developmental delays, arthrogryposis, and seizure disorders. I have been praised for my patience and enjoy getting to know what works for each individual and their family. I've had years of instructor level training in lifeguarding, CPR, 1st-Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration. I look forward to continue withe clients whom I can help strengthen, learn and grow with.
