I have a love and compassion for people and decided after I retired six years ago, I would work part-time helping others. In the past, I provided home and companion care to my father-in-law for several years which included, bathing, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping, medicine management, doctor appointments and occasional scenic rides to provide him a different environment. For the past 8 months, I have provided companion care for an elderly lady on a part time basis for 2 hours in the morning. I ensure that her morning meds are taken and I provide assistance with her breakfast, dish washing as well as cleaning her portable potty, discarding her depends into the trash and keeping her inventory of depends and pads in her bathroom. Every couple of days, I remove the trash from her house and dispose at a local refuse facility.
