I've grown up with my mother being a special ed teacher and, as such, have a special place in my heart for people withe special needs as well. In high school I volunteered at a camp for people with special need, specifically I worked with an individual with cerebral palsy that was confined to a wheelchair. At one of my jobs I worked extensively with and child with autism for three months. I also have limited experience with individuals with down syndrome.
