Caring for others has always been my motivation, desire and dream. I graduated from school in 2019 to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant I work with the individual and focus on meaningful tasks and ways to increase their ability to complete those tasks with or without assistance or adaptions. Since graduating I have worked in a rehab setting providing services to adults focusing on daily cares, mobility, and strength. Since September of 2019 I have worked at an outpatient clinic providing occupational therapy services to children with autism ranging in ages 2-10, there we focus on handwriting, fine/gross/visual motor, self regulation, self cares, and social play. During school for 2 years I worked at a day center 1:1 with adults and children with varying diagnosis working on different tasks such as range of motion, daily cares, education, community safety and education, social interaction, cooking and cleaning, arts and crafts, music, etc.
